Over at 40K Unorthodxy, Jancoran, inquired how I would wage war against his Foot Eldar (foot-dar) list that he recently posted. Obviously, the best way to answer such a question would be to set up a game and perhaps bat-rep it to share on the blog.

December 7th In Memorium

I wanted to take a minute to remind readers to take a moment of silence in honor of the men and women that lost their lives December 7th 1941 as a result of the Pearl Harbor attack. Take stock in what you do have and appreciate it- I know I will.

November 24th, Olympic Cards and Comics is hosting an 1850 40K Tournament that I won't be able to attend. Nevertheless, I've constructed a list as a fundamental starting point to practice and tune.

My Favorite 40K Podcast(s)

Whether I'm driving my car, running two miles, or working, there are a handful of podcasts devoted to 40K that I enjoy listening to on a consistent basis. Over the course of 2012, I have not had the free time to devote to 40K, but these podcast(s) help keep me hooked in to the Hobby and the Community. My hope is that if there are readers that have not had the opportunity to enjoy these production(s), that you give them a try and let me know what you think!

With a few unexpected (however anticipated) turn of events at work, my odd hours have not afforded me time to play 40K. I have, however, managed some hobby time and I'm really excited about some of what I accomplished.

9/11 Never Forget

Manticore WIP: Magnetized Weapon(s) and Missile(s)

Recently I finished building a Manticore that I plan to run in an IG allies list. I wanted to accomplish two things with this model:
The ability to swap out H.Bolter with H.Flamer, and;
Magnetize the missiles in such a way so that they didn't fall off, but could be removed to denote use.

2K Blood Angels Vs IG and Ork Allies

Yesterday, Six and I played a 2000 point game pitting my Blood Angels against his IG and Ork 'Britezee Boyz' at Olympic Cards and Comics. The game was intense- probably one of our most intense yet, and A LOT of fun. I felt a bit discouraged by turn five about a couple of poor tactical decisions I made, but, it was a good learning experience.

I played a list utilizing my available models. I wanted to try mech in sixth edition to determine how much vehicles have changed. 

Dark Vengeance: Opening the Box

At 12:01 Saturday morning I got my copy of Dark Vengeance LTD Edition into my eager hands. I busted open the box and handled the sprues- man, the pictures don't do the models justice. The level of detail on each is really amazing.

2K List for 6th Edition

Work has required most of my attention, with family gobbling up any left over time I have had over the last month.

2K Bat-Rep: IG Vs IG

Six and Kingpin faced off their respective IG armies in a 2K point game at Olympic Cards and Comics that I thought was worth sharing. Six took Ork allies, whereas, Kingpin relied on the Viking goodness- the Space Wolves. I really appreciated this bat-rep since I couldn't make game night as I had to work late to cover shift.

Modeling Question Posed to Readers'

As a member of the Death Korps of Kriegs army, this is probably grounds for termination. Hopefully, I can get her back in the fight!

I was getting ready to paint a model for Six, and one of the model's legs snapped at the ankle. The model is Kapitan Ivanka from Raging Heroes, and is made of white metal.

Unless suggested otherwise, I was going to use JB Weld to mend the pieces together. Suggestions? Thoughts?

Games Workshop has released FAQs and errata for 6th Edition, as well as updating army codexes. In so doing, G Dub has clearly defined just what unusual power weapons are.  The Axe Mortalis is an axe that swings at initiatve 1. Glaive Encarmines are now designated by the model. I'm going to leave this post up as a testament to ambiguous written rules. I'm thankful that G Dub addressed, and retired this issue- Gone

Happy Independence Day!

I want to wish everyone a happy, and safe, 4th of July. I'm reading through my 6th edition rulebook and taking notes on aspects that I think will change the way I play my Blood Angels. When I'm satisfied, I'll post my notes to share with readers.

...your blog roll feature sucks. Why is it I have to add blogs that I read, 5 at a time, so that the script doesn't freeze up?
